Mystic Reality vs Mysticism
The difference between mystic consciousness and mysticism is dramatic. According to Dr David R Hawkins , anytime we add "ism" to a word, it lowers its calibration level. For instance, "absolute-ism" or defining of the Absolute calibrates lower than the Absolute itself. When I talk about "calibration of levels of consciousness " I am referring to Dr Hawkins' Map of Consciousness .
Mysticism, as the definition of the term, is a lifetsyle based on incorporation of "mystical" content. The mystic consciousness is the subjective Reality of the Self, or Higher Awareness. Mysticism may work towards raising consciousness as a goal, the mystic reality is consciousness raising.
Mysticism often uses and promotes magic and ways to manipulate form. The Mystic Reality has transcended form, so no use for magic.
Mysticism uses the intellect to organize data and foresee probable outcomes. The Mystic Reality is witness to the mind. It watches mysticism.
Mysticism has a name, a "brand". It may be "Jane's Healing House". The mystic consciousness views the world as perfect as it is. It is true that the ego needs to fall for spirit to be noticed. The mystic reality allows the fall, and doesn't pretend to have the answers.
Jesus Christ taught "The Way" which is the way of the mystic reality. The Way that Christ taught, not what was interpreted by ego , is the same Way all true mystics teach, simply by virtue of recognition of Self. Mysticism produced a book about The Way, called the Bible. Level of truth is lost in translation. Truth becomes complicated. That is the way of mysticism vs the mystic reality.
