Loving the unlovely- not so lovely!
I love them, and I love them- all of them-
Yet you keep putting your sin in my face- always around.
How do I love that?
Hiding away in your secret sins-
full of lies.
I know what you have been doing.
The witnesses are growing in numbers.
The truth is- your life is built on lies.
Always- I have fought for you-
believed in you.
But who are you really?
I have not any tears- why no more tears?
I need tears for you- God break my heart.
In shock- really.
Yes, I am hardened against sin-
Lord don't let it be against this man.
Love the person- hate the sin.
You are seething sin- demons galore.
Trying to use you to come into my door.
My door is not the spotlight here.
It is your life in front of me.
You know right from wrong-
but insist on this sin for your death.
Yeah you really seem deaf- these days.
God has communed with you before-
Do you even remember?
In this life you must fight- for your family,
your life, even to do right.
Never seen you fight to walk in the light.
All a muse- and for what?
God for this one I need tears.
I need to feel what you feel for this person.
Honestly, I have got nothing left for them.
I don't want you to go to hell-
I don't wish this even on my enemy.
Hating this position and the truth at hand.
God give me strength to help this man stand.
More than a small prayer, more than Jesus get me out of here.
Crush me, shake me, make me love the most undeserving.
He will not make it- if I don't strongly stay before you.
Baited, hooked and sinking to the bottom is his chosen route.
Make a spirit of praise rise within me- stirring me to go after the victory.
I know you love him so- let this be his heartbeat.
His offenses I continue to meet-
turn this into my prayer list for his freedom.
Have you ever really looked into my eyes?
-Eyes to the soul.
I have searched your eyes-
No sparkle- where's the glimmer of hope?
Where is God burning strong?
I see your soul is lost in this tug of war.
Have you cried out to the Lord?
Open your eyes to see the same old lies different guises.
Do you remember from where your help and the truth comes from?
I see fear in the denials and it screams in your silence.
I promise you that-
I have never felt such darkness on you- this is dangerous for you.
You have been warned- but did you ever really know God?
Can you not hear him anymore- do you not feel the conviction of God anymore?
How about the condemnation from satan that storms in like a flood?
Do you know that you can still turn around and let god pull you out?
His mercy is new everyday- seek the face of God for your life.
