Product Review, Hamburger Helper Philly Cheesesteak

Ok Ok, no I admit it, I don't cook a fresh, fancy meal every night.

One of our favorite dishes for 'those days' is a rather new edition of the Hamburger Helper line. The Philly Cheesesteak flavor. I actually make two boxes at a time for three people as there is usually a tug of love for the leftovers.

The basic directions are more or less the same as you would find for the other flavors, milk, hot water.......but I add a bit of my own fresh ingredients in addition to the meat. There is also a packet of yummy (crunchy onion flavored) topping that you put on at the end.

I like to add some fresh minced or chopped onion and I also add extra cheese while it is cooking, and again just before I add the topping. You can add other spices to make it your own, but actually, this flavor is wonderful on it's own.

My husband was never a big fan of HH, nor was my son, but since we tried this flavor, they have both become more daring and willing to try other new varieties. We recently purchased some of the new "Asian" line of fried rice which I will be trying not only with the chicken they suggest, but some shrimp I think would be great. I love the ease of preparation and clean up since it's all one skillet. Thank you Hamburger Helper.

Love this new flavor
