Toasted Seasoned Pecans Microwave cooking

- - - - - - - - - -

This is a recipe that I do every Fall during various party times (football parties, Halloween parties, Thanksgiving, etc.).  I put a big bowl full of these delicious toasted pecans on the coffee table along with other munchies and they never fail to please.

Enjoy.

Toasted Seasoned Pecans

Ingredients:

1 pound pecan halves

1 tablespoon seasoned salt (I use Larry's Seasoned Salt)

1/4 cup butter or margarine

Directions:

Place pecans in 1-1/2 quart microproof casserole.  Sprinkle with seasoned salt.  Spoon butter evenly on top of pecans.  Cook, uncovered, on HI (max power) in the microwave 5 to 6 minutes, stirring once or twice during cooking to distribute butter.

You can make your own seasoned salt with garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, or curry powder.  And you can use walnuts, cashews, almonds, or mixed nuts.  Try your own combinations!  For half the amount cut ingredients and cooking time in half.  (Please don't roast the nuts in the shell. LOL)
