The Mists of Pandaria is the fourth expansion set to the World of Warcraft. With this expansion set, there is a new land that you could explore. There is also a new class and a new race. Here are a few details to help you be familiar with all the new features of the game.

The New Land

The expansion set brings in a new continent with a forest and lots of exotic zones for characters with a high level.

The New Race

With the Mists of Pandaria, you can now choose to be a Pandaren. Pandaren is free to choose his race – alliance or horde. It is definitely the first ever neutral race in the game. You stay neutral up to level 10 but you will need to choose between the two races before moving to Kalimdor or Eastern Kingdoms. The choice is irreversible unless you will choose the Faction Change service.  

Note that all classes are not available to Pandaren race. You can only choose to be a hunter, mage, priest, rogue, warrior, monk or shaman. The death knight, paladin, warlock and druid are off limits to this race. 

The New Class

There is also a new class – the monk. Other races except goblins and worgens can be a monk. This class starts on level 1 like most classes in the game. The starting zone is the Wandering Isle.

The monk is said to be a good choice for being a healer, tank or damage dealer. It is an expert in martial arts. Thus, it is a great choice of class for players who like close or hand to hand fights. The monks build energy by combining punches, kicks and other martial arts techniques. The energy can be used to heal or attack another player. 

The Gameplay

With the new features, you can still play with your friends and kills some monsters. There are dungeon challenge modes where five players can go on a time trial to earn rewards. There are six new dungeons in Pandaria. There are pet battles, too. You can challenge other players who have pets.

The expansion set also increase the level cap to 90. There are new spells and abilities that players could learn. There is also a new talent system.

There are two new battlegrounds and a new arena. One of the biggest new features is the scenarios. It is a new kind of PvE challenge where at least three players and up to 25 players can group together and reach a goal.
