Melissa Ratley - Somebody's Word

If you ever are able to venture out to Texas in the Dallas area then you may get a chance to hear an amazing young woman named Melissa Ratley.
Melissa was born in San Ramon, CA but moved to Texas at a young age and soon took to the Texas culture like a fish to water. Melissa got into writing and playing music and hasn't looked back creating songs that meld the storytelling style of Paul Simon with heart warming melodies reminiscient of such amazing country greats as Patty Loveless and Trisha Yearwood.
While finishing her college degree at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX, Melissa developed a new passion for being a DJ at a local radio station. From there she worked hard to develop her craft on the acoustic guitar working as a singer / songwriter.
Today, Melissa performs at various venues always doing what she can to connect to her audience, and give them the best performance that she can give.
