Losing a Marathon
Goal: Lose a Marathon (26.2 pounds) by Sept. 17, 2012
A couple of weeks ago, I started this challenge to lose a marathon by mid-September. I have not gotten off to the best start, as far as pound so far. However, I have made some healthy changes, and that is a step in the right direction. My changes so far:
- Cut out alcholic beverages unless the occasion is super special!
- Drink 64 ounces of water or calorie free, caffeine free tea every day
- Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day, even if it is not all in one block. (will work up to 60 minutes eventually).
- Start The Zone meal plan on 7/16
I haven't exercised the last few days because my three year old daughter has been home due to illness. It has been hard enough to get my work done with her home, let alone squeeze in a workout. She took an extended nap today, though, so I was able to eek out 30 minutes with my Zumba for Wii. It says I burned 200 calories. I am hoping to work in one more tonight as the family is out and about running errands. I still have a lot of work to catch up on though so I'm not sure if I can do it.
The health club we joined recently has Aqua Zumba class two nights a week! A friend of mine who lives in another state said she's taking the class and LOVES it! I took regular water aerobics before and during my pregnancy, so I know I will really enjoy this. I am hoping to try that out tomorrow night, or next week at the latest.
