Sadly just like I figured Grams ends up dead which sucks. There seems to be a theme where a lot of people I like end up dead. And of course there was that jaw dropped to the floor moment too. Bless Damon for being shirtless. Now if only the Winchesters would be so cooperative. Hey when you're that pretty you have an obligation to show the pretty after all I don't want to lose my trip to Special Hell. Now where was I? I got distracted by Damon being shirtless and wishing his pants were just a wee bit lower. Come on like I was the only one thinking that? Is it so wrong for a girl to want a little butt crack porn?Sadly Bonnie wasn't around but with Grams dead she's all bummed I would imagine. So much for bringing Grams back. Now that's where Willow just might have come in handy. Grams dying reminded Elena of her parents dying so she started thinking about her birth mother. So she asks Jenna if she found anything out and she mentions that Alaric's wife was named Isabel and she gives her the name and address of Isabel's best friend in high school. Turns out that she was a cheerleader too. Now Stefan didn't want to mention Damon killing Isabel so he kept quiet and asked Alaric to do the same after he had just found out that Isabel had a kid. It does make me wonder if he's the father since that is possible. Sure it could have been someone else but I don't think he should be ruled out.Well Elena just couldn't wait so she ended up at the friend's house Trudy and I knew something was up with her. She didn't exactly invite Elena in and she put vervain in the tea. She ended up texting someone and when Elena mentioned the vervain she told Elena to go. Some creepy guy was lurking outside and he ends up killing Trudy after all she played her part. This turns out to be Isabel making it very clear that she has no interest in meeting her daughter.The guy that wandered out of the tomb ends up coming across a guy that just so happened to be taking a walk in the woods. Well isn't that convenient and that his clothes fit too? Harper apologized to the guy before eating him and taking his clothes and ends up at some house where Anna and Pearl are staying. I guess they never left. I am confused about how this guy got out and wonder if it had something to do with the blood that Damon threw. Does this mean the others will get out too? He was wearing one of the rings too. Smart move Harper to toss the cell phone.Matt and Caroline are so so adorable aren't they? They were sitting on the couch watching TV when she suggested they do something else after all they had the place to themselves. Of course that didn't last long since Mom decided to show up. Yeah that was a bit awkward but thankfully Matt had a pillow to hide behind. Kelly doesn't seem to think much of Caroline since she ends up calling her fake. So of course the first word that comes to mind would be bitch but of course she adores Elena. I'm thinking Caroline got payback by giving her the plumber who wasn't equipped. Wasn't that Dax? So another two people from the Whedonverse show up. She certainly doesn't like Caroline's mom.The Sheriff asks Damon to be in the auction of hotties. Oh to be at that auction. Of course I don't have any actual money so it probably wouldn't work. Damon's all bummed because of Katherine so he does a little partying with some sorority girls. Damn it would be cool to see him and Spike together. Am I the only one that think that would be good buddies? He ends up  being mean to Alaric by bring up Isabel not realizing that she's Elena's mom which upset her too. This led to Alaric deciding to kill Damon which wasn't such a good idea. Instead of Damon getting staked he does instead so hello to the jaw dropping to the floor when Alaric lay there dying.There were flashbacks of Alaric and Isabel and she had an obsession with vampires. It turns out that she went after Damon because she wanted to be turned. I do wonder about who the father is. It seemed like he wanted kids while she didn't although she did end up getting knocked up and decided to carry the baby to term when she could have gotten an abortion. Hello to the surprise when his hand twitched. Stefan came in too late and Damon asked him to take care of the body when hello Alaric wakes up all better. It turns out that Isabel gave him the ring which seems to protect him Of course this makes me wonder if she's been feeding on him and giving him her blood since he'd come back as a vampire if her blood was in his system or if the ring protected him from the staking.
