Okay she was going to be caught anyway since Anna was there and she has a ring. She ends up getting locked in the bathroom where she finds Bonnie in the bathtub.Okay Ben is a bit dumb since he didn't seem to realize that he can die too. He asked if a witch could die. Duh everyone can die but some are harder to kill than others. I suspected that he'd end up getting dusted although it was actually toasted with Stefan working the flamethrower porn. Come on you know it was hot although I was hoping for one of the brothers to be shirtless. Come on don't get that sickness the Winchester brothers have of shirtoffaphobia which means they sleep fully clothed and who knows they might even shower clothed too.Bonnie tried setting Ben on fire but once again someone should have pulled the curtain aside. Elena was caught so Bonnie stayed so Elena wouldn't get hurt. So be careful about what you tell the cute guy since it might come back to bite you in the ass. She had told him that she'd die for Elena on their date. But luckily Grams came through which allowed Stefan to come and rescue them.That was pretty cool when Grams gave Damon a headache. How awesome would it be if Spike and Damon met each other? Well they were turned in the same century. I wouldn't mind learning how to do that and the reverse to take the headache out of my head which is where I'd rather have it since headaches are a real bitch. He had the nerve to show up at her place. Come on he had to know she wouldn't let him in and she's no newbie witch so you don't screw around with her. She did invite Stefan in.Elena convinces the others to let Damon have Katherine and she even takes her necklace off so he'd know she was telling the truth. He decides to trust her and even tells her that he didn't compel her on their little road trip because they were having fun and he wanted it to be real. So he's cool with the plan where all the other vampires are toasted with the flamethrower.Yeah I agree with Elena that wasn't Latin. I've heard my share of Latin and I'm pretty sure that spell wasn't in Latin. So the door of the tomb is open but Damon decides to take Elena for leverage. Stefan's off getting the flamethrower which is when he runs into Anna who had grabbed Jeremy who I think she actually liked. Well she did complain about Ben hitting him so hard.Gee what a shocker Tyler continues to be a total dick. I do wonder if he'll turn out to be a werewolf although who knows with things going so differently not that change is bad because I'm in love with this show. It was odd in the book how he became a werewolf since I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to become one by choice. He even asked Jer for weed and went on about him not having any friends. Well dude I don't see you hanging around with a bunch of people either. It does sound like you'd get along with this Bob dude who Caroline calls Duke.Yes it is always a good idea to throw a party in the woods right near a tomb full of vampires. Stefan of course goes after Elena. can I have a vampire of my own? I wouldn't mind having one. Anna decided to let Mom snack on Elena since she found it fitting that a Gilbert revive her mother since it was a Gilbert that put her in the tomb. I have to wonder why they just didn't torch the lot of them. Stefan of course ran when he heard Elena screaming even though he knew he wouldn't be able to get out. Aw how sweet.Bonnie of course made Grams do the spell so they'd be able to get out. I guess Grams wasn't thinking about how Elena could get out surrounded by vampires. Sure humans could leave unless her plan included trapping Stefan because she knew he'd save Elena despite the risk to himself. They were all able to get out and I thought the seal was closed but I guess it wasn't. Damon had thrown the bag of blood after he realized that Katherine wasn't there only to have some guy take it and get out. So does that mean the others can get out too? He opened the door and got out.Matt and Caroline are just adorable. I wonder how many speeches she has. She tried to give him an out if he was ooged out by the kiss but he didn't want the escape clause. So they end up going to the party and she grabs his hand when Damon and Elena show up. She later explains that and calls herself lame. She was just showing off her new guy to Damon. He had wondered if she was too clingy and of course Tyler was thrilled to hear about possible trouble in paradise but that was all cleared up. At least they had a good time at the party.It turns out that Katherine was never in the tomb in the first place. Anna just used Damon knowing that he'd do anything to release Katherine. After getting Pearl out she just wanted to leave town. Damon went to Anna asking her why she got a happy ending. Pearl ends up telling him about a guard that was obsessed with Katherine who she compelled and promised to turn him so he let her go. So she was never there and knew where he was. Anna is no fan of Katherine after all it was Katherine who turned mother and daughter. I thought it was odd that someone would turn their own kid but that wasn't the case.Poor Damon. Maybe the feeling were real for him but they certainly weren't for Katherine. It seems like she just finds pretty toys to play with only to throw them away after she gets tired of them. She was last seen in 1983 in Chicago. Maybe you'll feel better if you take your shirt off. Stefan did apologize for his part in the vampires getting locked away in the tomb even though the guy was just trying to help. He didn't know what their father was going to do.After making sure Jeremy was okay Elena went to Bonnie's. Looks like doing research is a Gilbert trait because he went right to Bing and typed in vampires. He had seen Anna's face so he put the pieces together like big sis. I wonder if that will lead to him remembering what happened to Viki. He did like Anna and oddly enough I think she liked him too. I've used Bing and I have to say I do like it although they do have weird pictures like that freaky cow thing that one time.Elena calls Stefan to find out how Damon is doing. The poor guy I just want to give the poor guy a hug. After all this time trying to get her back he finds out that she never gave a damn about him in the first place. Okay there was a little bit of tears when Bonnie went to check on Grams and found her dead. It turns out that the spell took a hell of a lot out of her because it killed her. So yes I got a little misty eyed. Kevin is killing more off than Joss does. She did remind me of Willow when she grabbed the spellbook in the hopes of finding a spell to save Grams.
