Pilot (The Secret Circle)
I really wish it was possible to earn some money making up names to avoid the dreaded P word with new shows. You'd think they could come up with a name after all I'm thinking the goal would be to have many seasons of a show. Once again the very blah title of Pilot. Now that doesn't mean the shows are blah since a lot of shows do this but damn it I offer my services to give the first episode a real name instead of the non name of Pilot.Anyhoo I was able to watch early even though it took some effort to do so. But I won't get into that since that will just start a rant. I have to say that a certain someone is even hotter. When Gale was on Desperate Housewives I thought he was adorable but I guess when you turn him into a very bad boy he just gets hotter. Ooh I think I made a pun. It all starts off with Cassie going home so they did change a few things from the book. Maybe I'm an oddball but I'm cool with changes since that doesn't mean bad and Kevin already did an awesome job with The Vampire Diaries.Cassie gets a very convenient flat tire which allowed Mr Hot Stuff to go to Cassie's house. Of course it had to be deliberate since the goal was to get mom out of the way so Cassie would be forced to move to Chance Harbor. He's outside and mom's inside talking to Cassie. She offers to met Cassie but as bad luck would have it she wasn't getting out of that house. He ends up using matches to set everything in the house on fire. I have to say that evil looks good on this boy. Did I mention that already? I think I might be repeating myself but he is hot. I assume at least one thing will be the same about him although now I'm wondering if this means that a certain pair of witches are actually siblings without knowing it.I have to admit that I am a bit confused that it was a month later that Cassie moved to Chance Harbor. What was she doing in all that time? She moves in with Grandma and sees the perv oops I mean the guy across the street that had to have opened that curtain right after she closed it. Yep he got a look at the girls since she took her top off right after she shut the curtains which he reopened. I think he was Nick. Well it is a new show and although I'm familiar with the book the faces aren't all familiar to me if that makes any sense at all.I am happy to say that the familiar face to Days fans doesn't come with that awful Elvira hair they gave Shelley when she was on. So far I'm liking Diana which shows that I can hate the character and be fine with the actor. Well Stephanie drove me nuts especially at the end. I just wanted to slap her. She meets Cassie at school and unlike the book Cassie doesn't have that almost crush on Diana that she does in the book. I just wonder what happens when she finds out about Cassie and Adam who nearly kiss in the woods after doing magic.Cassie is totally clueless about the witch thing so she wigs out a bit when she finds out. She just notices that things are weird like Adam's dad telling her that he was destined for Amelia who happens to be her mom. I just wonder if Charlie is Cassie's dad or if someone else is. Well some things are bound to be the same as the book. Cassie's father is conveniently dead. I suspect I know who did it. I think Gale's name is Charlie unless that's Adam's dad's name. Well it is the first episode where you figure out what's going on and even if you're familiar with the books you still need to figure out who is who.I just discovered H2O: Just Add Water not that long ago so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that Phoebe was playing Faye minus the accent. She's eager for the power that Cassie's coming to town brings since they needed a sixth person for the coven while Diana wants to bind their powers so they don't lose control over them. She ends up testing Cassie which results in Cassie's car getting set on fire but Adam saves her. So far Faye doesn't seem as bitchy as she does in the book since she seemed to care when Diana was struck by lightning when she caused it to rain which isn't a very good thing but luckily Cassie was there to tell it to stop raining. Oh if only I could do that since that would be pretty cool.The principal is Faye's mother. She's up to something with Mr Hot Stuff. They want the coven to do something. It looks like Adam's dad is considered a bit of a loose cannon since Mr Hot Stuff threatens to kill him and goes on about how it feels to drown. I guess he would know if he is who I think he is. I am going to assume that Diana is totally clueless about what her dad is up to since I doubt that she'd be cool with him killing Cassie's mom just to get her to Chance Harbor.
