Yes it was Pilot again but I have to say I just loved it. And any time a cute guy takes his shirt off that is just icing on the cake. Well he had his shirt off and was putting it on but hey if I'm seeing bare skin I'm a happy fangirl. Since I'm a fan of the books I noticed changes but you know what I enjoyed it despite Elena having a brother instead of a sister. Boy Margaret you should really shave.Since I've read the books I knew the crow was Damon but if you didn't you probably didn't get that it was Damon throughout the episode in crow form since you didn't actually get to see Damon and Ian was awesome by the way until the last ten minutes of so of the episode. I'm just not sure why he decided to run into the car. And that grr thing he did was funny after the fight with Stefan when they went out the window. He's great as Damon and I'm enjoying Paul too as Stefan. Also the chemistry with Nina as Elena is really great too and of course Elena is a dead ringer for Katherine. I wonder if they'll have her on too but it would mean double duty for Nina.As for Bonnie there was a change made but I have to say I'm loving her. I love Bonnie in the book and instead of being a Druid she's a witch. She was told she was psychic which she didn't believe but she did nail it when she looked into her crystal ball AKA beer bottle and saw fog and a crow. Elena had a run in earlier that day at the cemetery where she was just hanging out at her parents grave while writing in her diary. And I do agree Stefan does have a hot back and front for that matter. Did I mention he took his shirt off? Well more like he was putting his shirt on but it was nice.Sure the fog was kinda silly but I'm willing to overlook that. And yes Elena has an actual diary. I'm sure I wasn't alone in wondering if she'd have a blog or an actual diary like she does in the books and hello Stefan has one too although he doesn't have one until later. He certainly has a lot of them which makes sense since he's been around awhile. And I did like it when he made Mr Tanner look like an idiot. What an asshole. That's just nice so you're being nice to Elena has officially ended because you think she's had enough time to get over her parents death. Yes that's something that should be shaken off right Mr Tanner.So I'm actually enjoying the show. I decided to keep an open mind about it and I was really happy with the results. I just seem to be one of these oddballs that doesn't totally flip out about changes. Come on do you really want the exact same things to play out on the screen that did in the books? I'm just glad the name Salvatore is there because that would have been lame if they were the Whitmore brothers. There seems to be legal issues with stuff which explains the name changes. Although I'm a bit confused about Uncle Zack. Since they're from there which is a change I'm wondering if he's a human relative since that is possible.Oh Mrs Flowers how you've changed since she's actually Zack who runs the boarding house. Stefan just moved back because he's drawn there by Elena who just so happens to be a dead ringer for Katherine and I'm assuming that part will remain the same since she's the one that turned the boys. Zack isn't all that thrilled to have him back and accuses him of the killings. I'm just not sure why it doesn't occur to either of them that there was another option which would be Damon who Stefan hasn't seen in I think he said fifteen years.Oops when Damon decided to snack on Vicki he didn't kill her so she was found by Jeremy and hello Margaret my how you've changed and Elena. Jeremy is trouble and he enjoys the drugs and Vicki does too but she doesn't seem to know what she wants since she keeps blowing off Jeremy even though it seems like she likes him although she seems to be with Tyler. I wonder if he'll be okay I'll be nice and not reveal what I'm wondering if he'll be. Did that make sense? Of course she's a familiar face to me since she did I think it was acne commercials but she also happened to play Caitlyn (so many spellings that I'm just picking one) on The Bold And The Beautiful. Like the book I'm not liking Tyler at all and Vicki is Matt's sister in the show which is another change.So the name of the town changed because it was Fell's Church to Mystic Falls. I have to wonder if people are going to think about Power Rangers Mystic Force. Okay maybe that's just me but I guess there's a falls somewhere at least according to Caroline. Oh yes she's trouble and the actor does have that bitchy vibe so I think she'll be good. She's totally jealous of Elena and she hates that Stefan only has eyes for Elena. Well sweetie maybe if you looked like Katherine instead of Elena you'd win the competition. Can't she find another guy? I guess Matt would be out since he's still hung up on Elena. I'm still out on whether or not I like the guy although I love him in the books.I did enjoy the scene with the two brothers fighting. That wasn't nice of him to take his ring. Lapis protects them from the sunlight. If you're not wearing the ring you're ashes. Since Damon wants to make his little brother's life hell he wouldn't want to let him off the hook that easily. So the fight for the girl begins. And I loved it when Stefan had to get away from Elena because he was getting excited which means his eyes were changing. Oops you better work on that Stefan because I'm sure you were tempted when she fell and cut her leg.
