Below are photos taken from around the Jordan Pond area of Acvadia National Park. The Jordan Pond area is rich in scenery and is one of the most visited areas within Acadia National Park. The area includes the famous Jordan Pond tea house, Jordan pond and Jordan stream, many hiking trails begin here, and it is one of the major starting points of the over 50 miles of well groomed carriage roads.
Wildwood stables is just around the corner where you can rent horses as well as horse drawn carriage rides, and the historic Jordan Pond Gate House sets directly across the roadway from the Tea House and gift Shops.
From Jordan Pond, you can Hike to the Bubbles, or to the nearby villages of Seal Harbor and Northeast Harbor. If you look up at that hill over looking Seal Harbor Beach, at the very top behind those tree's is one of Martha Stewart's estates, a huge castle like structure that once belonged to the fords of Ford Motor company. Once you could see the castle from the beach, but Stewart had tree's brought in to block the view.
